Vascular Surgery at South Central

Kumar, MD, vascular surgeon, recently joined the medical staff
at South Central Regional Medical Center. Dr. Kumar was President
of the Endovascular Center of Hattiesburg prior to joining the
staff at South Central.
One in four people suffers from heart and circulatory disease. Until recently, they faced the prospect of a major open surgical procedure to correct problems. With the use of an endovascular catheter, diagnoses and repair of the diseased area can be made from inside the artery with minimal discomfort to the patient and a very short hospital stay.
