Leg Pain? Unable to Walk? South Central Can Help

Daniel and Eleanor Wilson

When his family doctor told him he would need additional treatment for his poor circulation, Daniel Wilson started looking for answers. He found those answers right here in Laurel from Dr. Vinay Kumar.

Convenient Care, Close to Home
Blockages in the arteries of his legs left Wilson with no circulation. This caused his feet to turn purple, his legs to swell, and he was unable to walk. “My legs hurt so bad I could not even put them on the floor,” says Wilson. Wilson’s family doctor suggested that he see Dr. Kumar about his condition. “The family doctor told us we did not need to be on the road traveling at our age for medical treatment,” says Eleanor, Wilson’s wife. “And Dr. Kumar is close to home.”

On His Feet Again
During two surgeries, Dr. Kumar placed stents in the arteries in Wilson’s legs. Three days after each of the surgeries, he was able to walk. “My husband can do things he couldn’t do before, such as mow the yard,” says Eleanor. “He can even use the weed eater.”

Wilson had a good experience at South Central. “Everyone was nice to me and they did a good job. Dr. Kumar is a good doctor—one of the best,” he says. “We would certainly recommend this procedure for those with the same condition.”
