Or so suggests a weight loss study of 118 women. After 12 weeks of substituting low-fat for high-fat foods, participants desire for high-fat foods lessened. In addition, by the end of the study, their desire for the low-fat items increased. This change in tastes could help dieters maintain long-term weight loss, said the authors of the study.
