KidSpeak: Physical Activities We Love

 
 
If you are like many parents, maybe you’d like your children to get off the couch and get more exercise. But does it seem like every time you suggest an activity, you get a big yawn in response? So, what do kids like to do? To find out, researchers asked 751 middle-school children to fill out a survey about their physical-activity preferences. According to this survey, both girls and boys enjoyed roller-skating, basketball, soccer, bicycling, and swimming.
