Volunteers Make a Difference at South Central
At South Central Regional Medical Center, we see the power of compassion. Our facility runs on it, our patients depend on it, and our community thrives because of it. The power of care can change lives. And while no facility can manufacture that power, it flows through our hallways. It comes from a committed staff and from our dedicated volunteers. Volunteers take pride in what they do. Their kindness and commitment demonstrates the warmth and caring that is part of everything we do. Every act of compassion can brighten someone's life. And every act is significant. Just as we depend on medicine and technology, we rely on the abilities of our volunteers, and we are intensely proud of the services they offer. We are grateful to have volunteers as a part of our team. The power of compassion is demonstrated by volunteers at the medical center, at ComfortCare Nursing Center, ComfortCare Hospice, South Central Extended Care, the Rehabilitation and Wellness Complex, and the Children's Academy. The American Society of Directors of Volunteer Services (ASDVS) of the American Hospital Association (AHA) has designated the Monday of National Volunteer Week, April 27 to May 3, as National Healthcare Volunteer Day. To become a South Central volunteer, call Bonnie Smith at 426-4704 or 422-0054. |
