Professional Staff in an Outpatient Setting

At the Laurel Surgery & Endoscopy Center, LLC, patients and families will encounter an attentive and professional staff of highly trained nurses and technicians.

Today, about 70% of all surgery is performed in an outpatient setting. That’s why South Central Regional Medical Center and 10 Laurel surgeons and gastroenterologists have recently opened the Laurel Surgery & Endoscopy Center, LLC, a multispecialty ambulatory surgical center located at 1710 West 12th Street. Patients and families will experience an attentive and professional staff of highly trained nurses and technicians who have experience in the outpatient surgical setting.

“The group of physicians associated with this project has worked together in partnership with South Central Regional Medical Center to ensure that the entire Laurel community will be served by the latest innovations in outpatient care,” states Dr. Stephen P. Johnson, Chairman of the Board of the center.

The center has four state-of-the-art surgical suites and three procedure rooms and is equipped with the latest technology for performing gastrointestinal (GI); ear, nose, and throat (ENT); orthopaedic; ophthalmology; gynecology; general surgery; and pain management procedures.

This $6 million facility contains the most technologically advanced equipment for minimally invasive surgery as well as the more traditional approaches to surgical intervention. Board-certified anesthesiologists use the latest techniques for outpatient surgery anesthesia. These anesthesiologists also provide services at South Central Regional Medical Center.

The ownership group consists of South Central Regional Medical Center and the following physicians: Judith Bradley, MD; Michael Brooks, MD; Carolyn H. Cegielski, DO; Stephen P. Johnson, DO; Eric Lindstrom, MD; John B. Lyon, MD; Steven Nowicki, MD; Chad Saul, MD; Carl W. Stevens II, MD; D. Ross Ward, MD.
