A new look. New features. And user friendly. South Central Regional Medical Center has launched a new and informative website providing area residents with a wealth of information about medical center services.
The new site features a physician gallery complete with photographs and information about physicians on staff at South Central. Other features include a listing of medical center services, an online admission application, an online employment application, and more.
Studies show that 68% of Americans rely on the Internet as a primary tool for everyday research. Linda Gavin, Associate Executive Director, Marketing and Planning at South Central, says, “Our marketing and promotional efforts have always been educationally based. South Central launched HealthBreak, the region’s first health news program in 1989, to educate the citizens of Jones and surrounding counties about ways to stay healthy. The following year South Central hosted its first Women’s Life Conference to educate area women about healthy living. This event has become the largest women’s health event in the state.” She says that the new website provides another way of keeping the community informed so they can make informed decisions regarding their health.
“Those visiting the website at www.scrmc.com also will find copies of our past medical center publications, so they can read about services and programs available close to home,” Gavin says.
“We welcome feedback from the community regarding items they would like to see included on the new site,” she says. “Ideas and comments can be forwarded to lgavin@scrmc.com.”
