About Wellness
Obesity is on the rise. In fact, obesity in children has risen greater than 50% over the last two decades. In addition, 50-70% of obese children will grow to become obese adults.
Habits develop early in life as children learn their healthy or not-so-healthy habits from their parents. Consequently early intervention can improve the quality of life both in the younger years and adult years.
Fact: Obesity increases a persons risk of:
- Heart disease
- Diabetes
- Stroke
- Respiratory Problems
- Hypertension
- Bone and Joint Problems
- Certain Cancers.
