The 2002 Womens Life Conferences celebration of the 50th anniversary of South Central Regional Medical Center and the 50th anniversary of the I Love Lucy show was a tremendous success. The day started with humor from renowned humorist Linda Henley-Smith, who conducted a playshop that took audience participation to new heights. Concurrent health forums followed with area physicians speaking on a number of health issues. Catherine Nowicki reprised her Louise Seger persona from Always
Patsy Cline and presented the Retro Fashion Show. The audience was delighted by the return of Louise and the stroll down memory lane. Ladies enjoyed a booth fair and a 50th anniversary luncheon. Jones On Stage welcomed keynote speaker Lucie Arnaz with a dynamic performance. Arnaz, the daughter of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, provided a personal look at her childhood with her successful parents. She urged the audience to make children and family a priority because they represent the truest form of success in life.
