South Central Unveils New Nursery

According to Dr. James Holston, pediatrician with Laurel Pediatric Clinic, South Central’s new nursery is one of the finest in the state. The 2,800 square foot facility includes a transitional nursery, a well-baby nursery, and a Level II intensive care nursery. Thirty-two infants can be cared for in the new facility.

The opening of the nursery completes phase 3 of the renovation/ expansion of South Central’s women’s floor—The Women’s Place. The facility now has 5 LDR’s (Labor, Delivery Recovery Rooms), 2 conventional labor rooms, a surgical suite, and 19 beautifully decorated patient rooms.
