Take Action to Prevent a Heart Attack
After a thorough exam, Dr. Sullivan performed a myloview to evaluate her condition. The myloview indicated that a heart catheterization was necessary. He performed the heart catheterization at South Central Regional Medical Center, and the test indicated that there were two arteries to her heart that were completely blocked and a third artery had a 75 percent blockage. Dr. Sullivan arranged for Mrs. Petty to have open heart surgery at a Jackson health care facility. "I had a quick recovery. I believe it was the result of heeding the warning signs and taking action quickly. I can't stress enough to people the importance of seeing your doctor at the first sign of heart problems. In my case, it saved me from having another heart attack," states Petty. "When Dr. Sullivan told me I needed a heart catheterization, I was so pleased to learn that South Central had just what was needed right here close to home. That made a great deal of difference for me and my family. I received the best care and could not have been treated any better than I was at South Central," she says.
