Common Symptoms of Gastroesophageal Reflux
Disease (GERD)
Occasional heartburn does not
mean you have GERD. In GERD, the reflux and heartburn last longer
and occurs more often.
If you suffer from the following
long-term symptoms, you should see your doctor:
- A frequent uncomfortable feeling
of burning, warmth, heat, or pain just behind the breastbone
- A burning sensation after you
eat
- A sour taste in the back of
your throat that sometimes causes nausea or vomiting
